An alternative to markets and vegetable box schemes for your weekly food shop could be a visit to one of the many farm shops on the outskirts of Oxford.Most offer a wide range of local meat, fruit and vegetables. Unfortunately, being in country, a car is usally necessary, if you have one, then this is definitely a pleasant way to spend a Saturday morning especially if you visit one of the farm shops with a cafe, have a nice cup of tea and a cake once you've finished shopping!
